The Fountain Square Zombie Walk is a street festival and zombie-themed food drive that benefits Gleaner’s Food Bank and the local Fountain Square food bank. The entire event takes place at the Hi-Fi Annex and the back street behind the venue, (St Patrick St.) which will be closed for the event.

The Zombie Walk is ALL AGES and FAMILY FRIENDLY! We will have beer and wine on-site for 21+ zombies, and encourage all who attend to use the opportunity to explore the Fountain Square community, enjoy some local businesses, and of course – GIVE BACK!

Zombie Festival & Food Drive
3pm – 7pm

Come in your full zombie gear and stop first at our check-in and canned food donation station! There, you can turn in 10+ donated items or donate $10 to Gleaner’s to get a free Zombie Walk T-shirt!

ALL AGES ARE WELCOME! We encourage big zombies, little zombies, and zombies all in-between. Keep scrolling down to learn about more attractions during the Zombie Festival!

Zombie Carnival
3pm – 7pm

Nothing is worse than a bored zombie, particularly of the tiny variety. Our series of Zombie Carnival games will test those undead reflexed and manual dexterity through many popular games that have been zombie-fied – just like us!

The exact games we will feature are TBD, but here are some examples from our past events:

• Pin the Brains on the Zombie
• Zombie Mini-Golf
• Bobbing for Brains
• Zombie Pong
• Zombie Bucket Toss

Photo Booth of the Dead
3pm – 7pm

Okay…. 1…. 2…. 3…. say BRAAAAINNNNZZZZZZZ!

The social media revolution came before the zombie revolution, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be revolution bros. Our Photo Booth of the Dead is the perfect place to get your zombie picture on.

Bring your own props or use some of ours, and make sure to smile! Oh, hey…. your uh…. your jaw fell off. Might want to… uh…. fix that, ya know.

Zombie Vendor Alley
3pm – 7pm

Just because we’re zombies doesn’t mean we don’t like good ole’ fashioned commerce! Browse Vendor Alley and check out a dozen local organizations, artisans, and crafts-zombies and find unique trinkets, tokens, and brainz eating utensils!

Make-a-Zombie Station
3pm – 6pm

Humans are welcome to the Zombie Walk of course, because they’re delicious! Friendly! We mean friendly!

We have local zombie beauticians who will help apply makeup to anyone who needs a bit of a zombie touch-up*. All of our zombie beauticians are volunteers and some are students at local beauty schools so please enjoy and don’t be afraid. They’d don’t bite! Hard.

* Zombie make-up takes awhile to apply, so expect long wait times. You can help speed this proceed up by applying a base coat or white face paints and allowing us to do touch ups.

The Official Tour of Fountain Square
7pm – 8pm

Once the sun goes does, it’s time to paint the town red in Indy’s largest canned food drive flash mob! As a group, we will make our way up and down Fountain Square in order to enjoy the evening air, visit local shops, and scare the pants off of unsuspecting locals.

We will provide a Zombie Walk Map and Guide at the event, and our Zombie leaders will help direct the horde. Enjoy the wonders of Fountain Square, take some photos, growl at some passing cars…. it’s all good. We zombies, yo.

Zombie Prom – Costume Contest
8pm – 10pm

Little known fact…. zombies are traditional monarchists. It’s true. And as we are now a new horde, we have found ourselves desperately lacking leaders.

At the Zombie Prom, we will officially crown a Zombie King and a Zombie Queen of the Prom. They will be judged for their cleverness, their cunning in battle, and of course whether or not they look fly.

…this just in, a zombie much younger than me has informed me that “fly” is no longer a “hip” term to use. Well, if we’re being honest, neither is prom king or prom queen but we’re sticking to our guns here.

Several zombies will be honored in a number of categories, so stay tuned!

Zombie Concert w/ The Palace
8pm – 10pm

The most natural thing to do after a long day of walking, shuffling, and consuming the still warm remains of your neighbor is…….

DANCING!

Get your Zombie Dance on at the Hi-Fi Annex and their outdoor stage as we welcome The Palace as our featured snack! Band! Our featured band!
